The East is up to about 110cfs right now and is still fishing very well. Most of the action is still down below the bridge but we are starting to get a few decent reports from the “Miracle Mile” stretch above the bridge. Earlier in the morning streamers seem to be working well then as the day wears on it sounds like nymphing is the way to go. The weather has been kind of crappy lately but it hasn’t seemed to hurt the fishing at all. Some streamers and nymphs that have been working: dead drift crayfish, sculpzilla, ziwi, double bunny, perdigon, darth baetis, copper John, silver streak, rainbow warrior.

 

The ranch is also fishing very well with both nymphs and streamers lately, there’s lots of good action down there on fish from 14 to 23 inches. Most of the same flies that are working on the Cali side will work on the ranch section plus they’re still eating some rubberlegs and some small stonefly nymphs as well.

The trespass fees for the ranch have been updated as of April 24, 2025 to $100 for a half day per angler and $125 for a full day per angler. Anglers are still limited to 4 per day. Anglers who booked time on the ranch calendar prior to April 24, 2025 will still be charged at the old price of $75 per half day and $100 per full day. 100% of the trespass fees go directly to the ranch, cash is preferred. If you need to use a credit/debit card a 3% administration fee will be charged.

 

The pond has fished pretty well this past week with several good reports coming in from tubers out there. The pond is pretty much full and the weeds are not much of a problem so far. It’s been kind of cold here lately so that will give us some extra time without weed problems. Small leech patterns, soft hackles and wooly buggers have all been working and we’ve even had a few fish caught on small dries this past week.

 

The reservoir is still kicking out good numbers of fish with some tipping the scale at 6+ pounds. It sounds like the trolling has been the most productive though they are still catching a few fish from the shore as well as bait fishing over off of Rainbow Point. Bait anglers are using power bait, mice tails, pinched crawlers and inflated crawlers and the trolling has been good with Rapalas, night crawlers, Thomas Bouyants and needlefish.

 

We haven’t heard anything back from Kirman so far for the first day of the season but we’ll let you know when we hear anything.

 

The Twins are still producing lots of nice fish trolling and bait fishing and there was also a 10 pound brown caught and released on the Lower Twin this past week. We’ve had reports of lots of 1 pound size fish and still a decent number if 2 to 6 pounders as well. Bait anglers are using mice tails, pinched crawlers and power bait while the trollers have been using Rapalas, needlefish and Thomas Bouyants.

 

We haven’t had much for reports on the West lately but we have heard that it has been intermittently high and dirty, it just depends on how warm it is during the day and how much snow is melting on a gived day. We’ll try to keep you informed as best we can on what’s going on up there.

 

So far the ice is still holding out on the Virginias and the fishing has been pretty good. Some anglers are dropping bait down through the ice holes while others are jigging spoons or mini jigs and having success that way. We’ll try to keep up on the status of the ice for you and let you know when it gets too thin to be out on.
