Mike Anderson with your OtW Report from the Truckee River. Warm weather has the water slowly creeping up. A bit of flow and some color has helped the fishing this week. We anticipate things to continue to fish well moving into yearly peak flows. If the Truckee gets high we have some other great options in our area.
Other watersheds are a bit less responsive to snowmelt and don't become such a challenge to wade.
Stillwater fishing has been very good with several lakes and reservoirs iced off and ready to go. We have guide trips and lessons available to get you out on the water this summer. Call or check www.renoflyshop.com for more information.
Flies we suggest for river/streams: NEW Olive Hot Spot, NEW Pearl & Orange, NEW Jigged Iron Sally, Carot, Squirminator, BH Squirmy Worm, Emma Stone
Flies we suggest for stillwaters: Mini Jigged Leech, Hale Bopp, BH Hares Ear, Thin Mint, Micro Holographic Midge, Yankee Buzzer
