Recent rains and snow have cooled down the water. As temperature rises again fish will be more active. Targeting crappie and yellow perch this May with plastics and bait is a good tactic. Bass fishing will also start heating up towards the end of May. Fishing from the bank is possible, but using a boat or other floating craft will give an angler access to the most productive fishing spots.
