The Shasta Lake salmon and trout fishing is really starting to turn on this week!  The best news is that the Kokanee fishing is excellent and we're getting daily limits of super clean 14"-16" Kokanee salmon.  The King salmon fishing has been excellent as well and we're seeing Kings up into the 4-5 pound range.  The Trout fishing is in its early summer stages but we're getting into some every day now.  The salmon fishing has been much better though.

The Kokanee bite has been between 35' and 50' consistently and most of the King bites are coming from the 80' to 100' depths.  Traditional salmon tackle for both Kings and Kokanee have been working great for us all week.  I'm trolling 1.2-1.5 mph for the Kokanee and up around 2.0-2.2 mph for the Kings.

The best King bite is coming from the areas around the dam and the Kokanee are just about everywhere on the McCloud arm.  I'm pretty excited about this summers fishing on Shasta Lake and look forward to fishing with our reagular and new clients in the coming weeks.  We're pretty busy booking trips but we do still have some availability the next 4 months on Shasta Lake.

To book your Shasta Lake fishing trip this summer, call Jaynie at (530) 510-2925 to hear about our available dates.  Thank you!
