Yesterday, Vince Castalanotto caught 7 big beautiful crappie by the crappie float! The biggest one weighed 1.4 lbs.

Small to medium sized bass are being caught some actively on beds right now. The bass chase swimbaits, crawdads, and dark colored plastics.
Catfish are being caught in Boat Dock Cove off the second fishing pier. Lake Wohlford cats prefer mackerel, shrimp, or chicken liver.
Crappie are in tight and being caught by boats drifting between Bass Point and Crappie Rock. Crappie are most often caught using live golden shiners or crappie jigs.
