Fishing Conditions
Runoff is going strong, and the Animas will be off color and cold. It may take a week or so to clear up.
Finding a fish will require you to go big with your flies in the dirty water. Big dark and flashy streamers, and big juicy nymphs.
Caddis will be hatching soon, so it wouldn’t hurt to have a few Caddis pupa and Dries this month.

Nymphs: Pheasant tails 14-18, Hydropsyche Caddis nymph 14-16, Pats Rubberlegs 4-8, 20 Incher 8-10, Schmidts TB CDC Hare’s Ear 10-12, Cranefly Larva 6-10.
Streamers: Sculpinator, Meat Whistle, Dungeons, Cheech Leech, Flugenzombie.
