The water level in the reservoir is slowly decreasing as late season rains have failed to materialize. The boat ramp at Thistle Creek is available to launch boats. Whitcomb boat ramp is now high and dry and cannot be used to launch trailered boats.
The reservoir is usually stocked with trout in the spring. It was stocked recently with 2,800 hatchery trout. Also, as a reminder to anglers, fishing for and harvesting Chinook in the lake and the rivers above is prohibited. Any Chinook caught in Green Peter reservoir must be released unharmed.
For the latest information on water levels at Green Peter Reservoir check with the Army Corps of Engineers' website for more information.
