Fall River continues to shine as a go-to destination for technical summer fly fishing. The PMD hatch is strong mid-to-late morning and again near dusk, with fish keyed in on emerger and cripple stages—Film Critics, Sparkle Duns, and Cripple Duns are working well in #16–18. Caddis are hatching consistently throughout the day, and shaded riffles are loading with sipping fish, especially when presenting Elk Hair Caddis or Midges just behind foam lines. Subsurface, small tungsten nymphs like Jig Napoleons, Juju Baetis, Spanish Bullets, and Zebra Midges in #18–20 continue to take trout when the dries go quiet, especially in deeper pools and slower runs. Streamer opportunities are hanging in, too—olive and black Sculpzilla or soft-hackle leeches gently swung through undercut banks and log jams can produce bigger fish. With clear water, steady hatches, and accessible public access stretching from the headwaters to below the Falls, this river is firing on all fronts right now.
