Fishing is generally best when flows are below 3,000 cfs. Now that the dry season has arrived, flows are being consistently held at around 900 cfs at the gage in Waterloo. The spring chinook run is now complete and the summer steelhead run nearly so. About 30,000 adult chinook and 4,500 summer steelhead have been counted at Willamette Falls so far. About 520 summer steelhead and over 920 spring chinook have entered the ladder at Foster Dam. Fish can be found throughout river, including at Lebanon, Waterloo, and below the deadline at Wiley Creek Park.
