Some of you have noticed the very bad bump in the road going in and out of Hosmer Lake.
It is going to be repaired soon and for now there is a detour to stay off that and drive through the campground to get to the boat ramp area.

here is what the USFS said today:
Hi Jeff,

This was brought to my attention on Friday, I zipped out there and was surprised to see how much worse it had gotten in the last 2-3 weeks!

As our Road Crew still won’t be available for a bit I’m currently working with a local equipment operator to see if he can do the repair for us in the short term.  For now, we posted barricades and signs directing folks to drive (slowly!) through the campground to access the boat launch.  I’ll attach one of the signs so you can see what I’m trying to explain.

Thank you again for reaching out.  I have a bit of a crazy week ahead of me but will try to remember to keep you posted when I hear if/when we can get this repair done in the next few days/weeks.

Stay cool out there!

Dawn

Please drive slowly through the camp ground and all will be good!
