The road is open to the lake. Fishing may be tough with all the huge weed beds still on the lake as of last week. I spoke with BLM in regard to the campground area. They are working on getting it back up and running, but with the damage caused by the Tamarack Fire, it may be another year or so. All of the plumbing and electrical lines have to be rerun, which takes time and money.

For those interested, the Alpine County Forest Health Community Working Group is conducting a project at the campground area this Saturday. They are looking for volunteers to help replant trees in the day-use area. The trees were provided by the Sugar Pine Foundation. Good luck on your next fishing adventure. If you have a question. a report in our local fishing area or have a photo of your catch, send it to nevada@fishreports.com. Hope to see you on the waters. Good fishin' and tight lines.
