The lake held near 37% of its storage capacity with water temperatures in the low to mid-seventies, and anglers caught plenty of smaller spotted and largemouth bass on finesse baits in 10 to 40 feet of water. Fish followed bait balls, and anglers scored while targeting areas holding shad with drop shots, hula grubs, and Neko rigs in purple, brown, and baitfish colors. A few topwater fish were reported, though that bite had tapered off. Catfish anglers picked up solid catches on cut mackerel and chicken liver, and crappie anglers found biting fish around 15 feet near rock piles.
