With steady flows from Lewiston and dropping tributaries, the fishing has been solid for most groups, although the fish are getting pickier. We have rain on the way and the river will become larger below each successive tributary. These added flows will bring the winter fish up from the Burnt Ranch canyon. For now, most fish can be found above Douglas City, though the big winter fish will be showing up any day now, so don't disregard fishing lower in the system. Fishing remains superb on nymphs and this is a good time to swing as well. These are super grabby summer run fish, you can get them on HDA Variants, Rubberlegs, Duracells, Olive Hotspots and Copper Johns. Look to put a few Golden Stone nymphs in your bag, Rolling Stones, Mercer's Poxyback Golden Stone, and the Solitude TB Golden Stone will fool these fish just fine.
