Fishing was decent last week at BV with trout, crappie, and largemouth all taking baits. Most anglers targeted rainbow trout and hoped to connect with one of the recent behemoths. Dough baits, mini jigs, and Thomas Bouyants all produced rainbows. Largemouth bit Senkos and Texas-rigged six-inch straight-tailed worms in brown and green pumpkin. Crappie were taken near the launch ramp on white ice mini jigs and small live minnows. One angler reported a very nice bass while crappie fishing near the dock with small live minnows. Catfish anglers used SSS dip bait and chicken liver to put whiskerfish in the pan.
