Thief Valley Reservoir has begun to refill after almost completely draining in early September. It was assumed that the low reservoir level killed off any remaining fish, but we have recieved reports that anglers are catching 16-18 inch trout. Additionally, it was restocked on October 1st, 2025 with 30,600 4–4.5 inch rainbow trout.

The harmful algal bloom advisory for Thief Valley Reservoir was lifted on 12/23/25. Follow this link to see the Oregon Health Authorities website showing harmful algae bloom advisories.
