Aqueduct anglers reported decent fishing with an uptick in largemouth and catfish action. Striped bass continued to take cut sardines and lugworms below check gates, but lure anglers did better on jerkbaits in white and aurora shad colors. Largemouth bass went after 4- and 6-inch straight-tailed worms in brown, orange, and dark green, and the trick was to sneak up on the eddies and work the bait slowly from deep to shallow. Catfish responded to cut sardines, anchovies, and fresh shrimp.
