The Fall continues to fish very well with fish spread throughout the system.  Fish are typically holding in classic water—deeper bends, undercut banks, weed edges, and slower walking-speed runs with softer structure nearby.

PMDs are becoming more noticeable and are starting to overtake BWOs as the main afternoon hatch with midges still being a constant part of the daily mix. Caddis activity has also improved during the evenings and fish are definitely looking up during certain windows.

Subsurface presentations are still producing the most consistent action overall.

Nymph setups running Zebra Midges, Perdigons, 2-Bits, Pheasant Tails, olive mayfly patterns, and balanced leeches are all producing. Long leaders, light tippet, and clean drifts always make a difference on the Fall, especially in the slower flats and tailouts.

Streamer fishing has also stayed productive for anglers covering water looking for larger holdover fish. Smaller patterns like Soccer Moms, mini jig leeches, pine squirrel streamers, and small sculpins moving fish.

The river continues to sit in a really good spring groove right now with steady bug activity, healthy fish movement, and consistent opportunities throughout the day.
