The East is still running at about 167 cfs and has still been fishing pretty well. The mile section is still producing decent numbers of fish with most of them averaging in the high teens and the lower section past the bridge is kicking out larger numbers of fish but smaller on the average. Most of the action is still with nymphs though we have been getting some decent reports on streamers here and there. Some patterns to try: perdigon, rainbow warrior, buckskin caddis, z-wing caddis, San Juan worm, squirmy worm, dead drift crayfish, ziwi and sculpzilla.

 

The ranch is still fishing very well for most of the anglers who've fished it this past week, as with the CA side it's mainly been nymphing with a few anglers doing well with streamers. The streamer action seems to be the best early in the day.

 

We haven't had anyone on the pond this week but as soon as we do we'll let you know how it went.

 

The Reservoir has been a little hit and miss lately with some reports coming in saying it has been slow while other anglers are doing fairly well. Though the numbers of fish might not be as high as we'd like the quality seems to be pretty good with some nice fish weighing over 6 pounds coming in most days. We've had a couple decent reports from shore fishing but it sounds like you may need to put in a good amount of time to have some success. The boat anglers seem to be doing the best either trolling or still fishing. Power bait, pinched crawlers, mice tails and inflated crawlers are all good choices for bait and the trolling has been the best with Thomas Bouyants, Rapalas and night crawlers.

 

We didn't hear anything from Kirman this week but when we do hear something we'll pass it on.

 

The Twins have also been a little hit and miss lately with some good reports coming in as well as some not so good reports. There have been some pretty good fish being reported up to 6 or so pounds. Some of the successful bait anglers have been using mice tails and pinched crawlers while some of the successful lure anglers have been using Rapalas, Thomas Bouyants and Kastmasters.

 

 

The West has been kicking out some fish here and there though overall it's a little tough due to the higher flows as the last of the snow melts. If you're heading up there try to find some of the slower pockets of water where fish will be more likely to be hanging out.

 

The Virginias have been fishing pretty well with some good reports coming in from bait and lure anglers. The most successful anglers have been fishing from tubes or kayaks as they are able to get further from the shoreline. Power bait, inflated crawlers and mice tails have been doing well, Thomas Bouyants, Hook-Up Baits and mini jigs have also been producing some good fish.
