The Fall River continues to fish really well with PMDs being the primary hatch during the afternoons and evening caddis activity becoming more consistent as temperatures continue to warm.
Long leaders, light tippet, and clean drifts remain important, particularly in the slower flats, tailouts, and weed-edge water where fish can become selective. Zebra Midges, Perdigons, 2-Bits, olive mayfly patterns, and balanced leeches continue to produce fish consistently.
Streamer fishing remains a productive option for anglers targeting larger holdover fish. Smaller sculpins, mini jig leeches, and pine squirrel patterns continue to move fish around structure and weed lines.
The Fall continues to fish consistent with steady bug activity, healthy fish movement, and increasingly consistent opportunities throughout the day.
Recommended Dries:
PMD Sparkle Dun #16-18, CDC PMD Emerger #16-18, Elk Hair Caddis #14-18, Purple Haze #16-20
Recommended Nymphs:
Zebra Midges #18-20, Perdigons #16-18, 2-Bits #16-18, Olive Mayfly Patterns #16-18, Balanced Leeches
