Fishing on the East Walker is OK, the flows are down and the water has some algae

Water Conditions: Fair, flows are down considerably to 42 cfs as of 10/10.
Fishing Conditions and Hatches: Good the flows are now down in the 40's. Water is quite dirty with algae from the lake. With the res as low as it is the flows are now down to the double digits and will probably remain that way as the ranchers in Nevada no longer need as much water.
Nymphing small mayfly patterns until about noon. Try some terrestrials from mid-day until the evening when there are some sporadic Caddis hatching.

Hot Creek: Hot Creek is fishing better in the late mornings & mid-afternoons
San Joaquin River: The San Joaquin water levels are,low making the fishing more technical

for Friday, October 5th, 2012Mammoth Lakes : Fishing in the Mammoth Lakes area is great
Hot Creek: No crowds at Hot Creek and active fish chomping flies on the surface.
San Joaquin River: Fishing is fair at the San Joaquin and the flows are almost too slow
Crowley Lake: The big fish at lake Crowley are more spread out which makes the fish harder to find
Owens River: Fishing at the Upper Owens has not hit the hot meter yet
Owens River: Fishing hasn't changed much at the Owens River Gorge
Rock Creek - Section 1: Fish the lakes on the way up to Rock Creek
Rush Creek: Rush Creek is fishing very well above 395, especially in the afternoon
Owens River: The flows are dropping on the Lower Owens
Bridgeport Reservoir: There are good hatches at Bridgeport Reservoir, the problem is finding the fish
East Walker River (CA): The best results on the East Walker are to use mayfly nymphs in the mornings
