The catfish bite has been phenomenal on both the night & overnight sessions. Fresh shrimp covered with the Eagle Claw gravy that is sold in the tackle-shop, seems to be the hot ticket. Heaviest stringer of the week was caught by a 4 man team, fishing the overnight 24 hour fishing session. Jose, Julian, Victor Aguilar, & Juan Corona, pictured above of Santa Ana caught 40 catfish totaling 98 pounds. These 4 anglers were using fresh shrimp from a boat in the middle of the lake.

Pat O'Donnell & Hayden Shirley, Photo #1 of Palmdale caught 15 fish, a mixture of catfish & tilapia totaling 27 1/2 pounds. Their largest catfish weighed in at 17 1/2 pounds using sardines at the Dam. Leo Rivera of Riverside caught 4 catfish totaling 8 pounds 5 ounces using shrimp from a float tube, behind the tackle-shop. Nadine Rodriguez of Riverside caught a 4 pound catfish using mackerel from a boat, also behind the tackle-shop. Corona Lake is open seven-days-a-week and has 24 hour overnight fishing/camping sessions every weekend during the summer.
