The reservoir has a cap of ice that's eight to 12 inches thick, but the problem is getting to it. Recent run-off has created a ring of thin, unsafe ice along the edges. The rest of the ice is just starting to change color, which is a sign of deteriorating conditions. We are currently surveying anglers who like to fish at Red Fleet.
