As if extreme high-elevation snowpack is running out, the North Fork has dropped considerably over the last several days.?? It's been a light return this summer throughout the Sound tribs, but persistent anglers have occasionally been rewarded.?? First light and last light are a fine time to be on the river, away from it all, anyways.?? For some quiet, with an off-chance at an "eruption", still worth a visit.?? Classic summer wets in more drab colors (peacock, black, purple) #4-#8 will expose the "players" eventually.

Yakima RiverThere is a lot of water coming out of Lake Cle Elum, leaving the limited-access water above the Cle Elum River rather wadable.?? From the mouth of the Cle Elum, down, there is some limited bank opportunities, however a boat and a partner to row is by far the way to go, availing repetitive shots tight to/and into the bank/vegetation.??
