Anglers report slow fishing for largemouth bass and bluegill. Bluegill are difficult to find, so try some of the deeper waters near the middle or west end. Pelican Lake has an overabundance of carp, so you can help the fishery by catching them or taking them with archery equipment. The waterfowl hunt started on Oct. 4, so now there are quite a few waterfowl hunters at the lake.
