There haven't been many anglers out on the ponds. The water temperature is around 37??F. There's no ice on the ponds, so now is a good time to fish from a kayak, float tube or any other non-motorized watercraft. Anglers recently reported having great success catching trout using a brown bead-headed fly on a fly rod, or a fly and a bubble with about three feet of leader. The trout seem to congregate near the reeds, so try to cast close to the cattails.
