John Klein docked his Qualifier 105 at Pt. Loma Sportfishing September 18 after a six-day Reebdloc charter.
"We went to Benitos first," he said, for some good grade yellowtail. Then we went over to Cedros for some mixed yellowtail, large and small. After that we tried Sacramento Reef for some rockfish and then spent the last day fishing albacore for not much."
Rusty Cours of Los Alamitos won first place for a 34.2-pound albacore, and split the first and second-place winnings with Xen Colazas of Seal Beach, who tied him. Hans Imhof of Laguna Beach was third, for a 33.4-pound albie.
