Darkly colored chatter baits take bass off the weed line in the north end. Frog bite is good and some are punching. Jigs are best method in south end. Fish are in the deep water near rocks. Crawfish colored jigs are whacking fish. Whopper Ploppers are working on both ends of the lake. A lot of three to five pound bass are being landed. Look for deep tule edges and water clear of weeds. Morning bite is 5:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and action resumes from 3 p.m. to sundown. Lakeport Catfish Derby is Aug. 23-25.  Clear Lake Outdoors (707) 262-5852
