Del Valle Lake Fish Report

Del Valle Lake - Livermore, CA (Alameda County)

The water is clearing up and the visibility has improved.  Monster holdover trout are being caught on the south end along with striped bass.  Trout are still on Power Bait and worms, the stripers are eating anything in a shad pattern such as Rat-l- traps, jerk baits, and A-rigs. Largemouth and smallmouth are biting really well on jigs and artificial worms in the narrows and off the day camp beach where there is a large gravel island/reef.  The weather this week has warmed up and we enjoyed the sun on our faces, the sun brought the water temp up to 56 degrees which explains the bass bite doing so well but that will be short lived as we are heading back into cold weather next week.
