Last week, an angler reported finding four inches of soft ice with surface water at the lake. Although there have not been any other reports of ice thickness, the recent warm, spring-like temperatures may have weakened the ice. Ice fishing should be considered potentially hazardous. Please observe all ice-fishing safety precautions. On Jan. 9, one angler reported good fishing for 12- to 14-inch cutthroats near the dam, using tube jigs tipped with worms, dead minnows or chub meat.
