Gunnison Bend Reservoir near Delta is a productive 600-acre off-channel lake offering trout, bass, wiper, catfish, and bluegill. Its two-basin layout supports diverse angling.

Dirty water close to the inlet is ideal for rainbows stocked annually and averaging 12–16 inches. Shore anglers use PowerBait or spinners, while boaters troll small lures.

Smallmouth bass—2 to 4 pounds—congregate around structure. Use jigs, plastics, and crankbaits in warm months to connect with them.

Catfish bite well on chicken liver or cut bait along creek channels. Bluegill stay near shore weeds for simple family fun.

The reservoir has modern facilities, including ramps, campgrounds, and restrooms. Gas motors are allowed and lake levels fluctuate with irrigation schedules.
