Cleveland Reservoir - Huntington , UT

Lake Information

Fish Species: Rainbow Trout
Located at nearly 9,000 feet in Utah’s Manti-La Sal National Forest, Cleveland Reservoir offers a tranquil alpine setting for trout anglers. The 136-acre lake is stocked with rainbow and tiger trout and also holds brook trout in small numbers.

Rainbows averaging 10–14 inches are the primary catch and respond well to bait fished from shore, particularly PowerBait and worms. Float tubers and small craft anglers trolling spinners or spoons see consistent success.

Tiger trout reach 16–18 inches and provide harder strikes. Anglers use jigs, streamers, or larger in-line spinners to target them along rocky structure.

Brook trout, though not abundant, appear seasonally and are typically caught on flies like hare’s ears and woolly buggers.

This is a no-wake waterbody. Shore access is good and campsites are primitive, with vault toilets nearby. Ice fishing is possible during light snow years but often limited due to elevation.

Cleveland Reservoir delivers a peaceful, productive high-country fishery that’s perfect for trout anglers seeking scenery and solitude with steady action.
