Pyramid Lake held near 90% of its storage capacity with water temperatures in the upper seventies. Bass fishing was hit or miss, with some anglers filling the boat while others managed only one or two fish all day. Topwater baits worked well early, while Senkos, Texas rigs, and Chatterbaits produced later in the day, with bass holding along bluff walls and in weed beds. One local angler found success ripping crankbaits along weed lines. Striped bass boiled sporadically, and spoons, Espetits, and poppers all drew strikes. Anglers reported catching countless rats with the occasional school of five to six pounders taking baits as well. Catfishing was fair for those who located weed-free areas to soak chicken liver and cut baits.
