The lake remains high, with surface temps around 75°F. Trout are holding deeper, so focus efforts in the main channel. Shore anglers should target spots where they can reach deeper water, such as Coot Bay, Honker Cove, and Grasshopper Cove. Use floating baits like PowerBait or inflated crawlers suspended 3–4 feet off the bottom. Trollers are doing well running the main channel at 20–25 feet with Baby Simon lures in orange, as well as Needlefish in red dot frog, metallic perch, or firetiger patterns. Early mornings and late evenings are producing the most consistent action.
