Water temperatures are in the low 60s. The western side of the old dam is exposed and just a small portion of the east side is visible. Boats, float tubes, and kayaks can be easily launched. Shoreline fishing has been good with anglers catching 3 to 4 fish per hour. Recent angler contacts revealed rainbow trout in the 10-to-14 inch range being caught. A few brown trout have been reeled in, typically between 6 and 10 inches, however, one angler recent caught a nice 18-inch brown trout. Brown trout are beginning to spawn, so they may not be contacted as frequently until the spawn is over. A total of 4,128 Rainbow Trout averaging 9.6 inches have been stocked so far this year. Fall stocking will commence in the upcoming weeks. Anglers will do well for trout throwing nightcrawlers, PowerBait, and spinners.
