On Lake Tahoe, boat anglers are finding steady action for Mackinaw and trout across the lake. Kokanee season has wrapped up, as most fish have fully colored. Macks are holding 50–150 feet deep off the west shore, Cal Neva Hole, and South Lake. Large plugs and jigged minnows are producing solid fish. Trollers are finding trout 100 feet down along shoreline drop-offs. Shore anglers are getting a few bites in the mornings 20–30 feet from shore. With boat pressure easing during the shoulder season, now is a great time to hit the lake before winter weather sets in.
