The Little Truckee River has flows and water temperatures consistent with last week. Water temperatures on the Little Truckee are around 62 degrees, so the fish are a lot happier here and more willing to rise for dry flies. There is a morning PMD hatch from 8 to 10 and then a spinner fall does occur around 3 in the afternoon. Some recommended flies to try are pale morning duns, burks silhouette PMD, pink cahills, small caddis, or any small dark nymph that represent the various species of mayflies hatching on the Little Truckee.. Anglers will notice the bulk of the fish on the Little Truckee are rising in the evening.
