The bass are jumping on the calm morning water out here. There is plenty of bait in the water. Cast rigs on top of the hump or even blind casting is worming. Spoons and crank bait are working along with flukes, shiners from the bait shop have also been hot. Catfish are definitely out this week with reports from the mouths of the coves being good. Bluegill are productive still and hitting small pieces of live worms.

The Bluegill bite is picking up again. Larry Porter of City Heights was fishing near the T- Dock late Thursday afternoon and killed the bluegill. He kept the four biggest all 4 fish were in the 1 pound to 1.5 pound range the biggest measured 6 inches. The summer bite is in full swing with all species being reeled in. Crappie are being on shinners that you will find in our bait shop on site. Bass are biting on plastics and senkos. You might want to try live crawdads also available here that the store. Bluegill continue to bite on small pieces of live worms. We have night crawlers, red and meal worms.
