EAGLE VALLEY RESERVOIR

ECHO CANYON RESERVOIR

Anglers are catching trout on various PowerBait offerings and worms fished below a water bobber. Trout also are biting on Woolly Buggers and nymphs. Crappie action will start to pick up in the next few weeks. As water levels change be cautious along shorelines.

LAKE MEAD 

The Overton Arm has been busy with anglers catching crappies and striped bass. Stripers also are active in the Government Wash area. The fish are chasing swimbaits and hitting anchovies fished from shore. Black bass are in pre-spawn mode. Anglers are catching the fish near cove edges and rocky points while using deep diving crankbaits and drop shot rigs. Callville Bay Launch Ramp is now closed due to low water levels..

LAKE MOHAVE/WILLOW BEACH

Anglers are catching smallmouth bass in the 2- to 3-pound range in Cottonwood Basin. Black bass are hitting on green and red plastics. Anglers fishing out of Willow Beach are catching both rainbow trout and stripers. The trout are taking yellow and orange PowerBait. Stripers are hitting trout imitation swimbaits and anchovies

LAUGHLIN

Striper action is still intense below Davis Dam with 2- to 5-pound stripers taking anchovy chunks and trout swimbaits. Anglers are catching catfish and stripers from shore using anchovies fished off the bottom below Big Bend State Recreation Area. Trout are taking PowerBait and night crawlers

 WAYNE E. KIRCH WMA

There has been few fishing reports from the area. Unpredictable weather and afternoon winds have limited activity. The water is clearing up and crappie are emerging. Trout are interested in nymphs, Rooster Tails, and spotted Li’l Jakes

URBAN PONDS

With water temperatures climbing, trout action has been limited. Seasonal trout plants are done for the time being but should resume when cooler temperatures return in the fall. Bluegill and catfish action, on the other hand, should improve as the fish become more active. Night crawlers and mealworms are the bait of choice for bluegill while green plastics and poppers will entice bass. The limit is three fish regardless of species.
