The Fall River is fishing well right now, and it’s worth your time to explore some new spots since the fish are spread out. Nymphing is the way to go—two-bits, pheasant tails, zebra midges, and psycho princes have been working great. If you’re up for some excitement, try a dry-dropper setup. A medium-sized foam fly on top with a nymph or two below can be a lot of fun. Also, don’t forget about stripping streamers around the downed timber—it’s an effective way to entice some fish. It is worth mentioning that The Fall River is close to the fire and may not be accessible if the winds and fire start heading in that direction. Check before you go.
