The east Walker is slowly dropping for the season and is still fishing excellent. Stocking has been strong through the summer. Spin fisherman using bright spinners and small spoons are finding fish in water with a little depth. Fly fisherman with larger streamers in the deeper runs have been just as effective as the spinners. Tight line nymphing has been deadly with mayfly imitations. Hoppers are out in full force, but the recent cold my slow the afternoon surface activity.
