The Lower Deschutes at Mecca would be a good walk and wade area this week. Like I said in the opening of this message the guys were doing well on Green Rock Worms and Eggs. This time of year you should have Stonefly Nymphs (Black and Golden), Micro Streamers like a Mini Gulp and Soccer Mom, Perdigons in Blue, Olive and Brown, Walts Worms and Zebra Midges.
We have 10 more days of open access on the Warm Springs/Mecca/Trout Creek/ South Jct. areas and on January 1st it closes until 4/22/25. The Maupin areas like Locked Gate, Harpham, and down to Mack’s are year round, just watch the freezing fog and icy roads in the winter but that can really ramp up in February to offer some darn good days that get better and better each week.
