PASS LAKE: Still yielding rather large specimens, ???bows and browns.?? Streamers, leeches/buggers and bloodworms are the ticket.?? Expect fair to surprisingly solid fishing so long as water temps remain in the 40's.?? Look for fish to hold in deeper (15' +) water until Feb/March, meaning Type IV's and faster sinking lines.
LONE LAKE: Predictably holding up with water temps in the 40's, and fish being found closer to the bottom (15' +).?? Leeches, immature dragons, scuds and bloodworms should all prove a welcome sight to fish hoping to make it through winter.?? If we get any warmer winter stretches moving forward, this lake has been known to offer up some surprise chironomiding days in December and January, so prepare/anticipate accordingly!
ELSEWHERE: Beaver Lake recently received its late-Fall plant of triploids and broods.?? We are heading into fast sinking lines season, as trout find more comfortable temps (milder than cooling surface layer) and slightly enhanced oxygen levels closer to the bottom.?? Here they will find leeches and bloodworms?ΔΆ??
