Action is beginning to really pick up on the American River.  Shad are in, but still a little spread out within the river.  Anglers are consistently catching fish though!  In a couple of weeks they will be more concentrated and catch numbers will rise significantly.  Swinging some local fly patterns on a sink-tip line is my favority way to catch them.  If you are itching to get out on the water in the next month, call me for a fun, safe day of fishing (720) 785-4925.
