Dropping flows, heavy weekend boat traffic, and every other excuse currently available sets the stage for the lower Sacramento River salmon fishing report today.  Frustration is building among salmon fishing guides who are working their butts off to get their clinets on some good fishing, but the numbers just arent there.  We should be seeing a lot more fish in the system right now, but thats just not the case, or at least it seems that way.  The big push of salmon we're expecting have yet to arrive, and the salmon that are already in the system seem to be moving constantly.  We are catching salmon daily and so are many other fishing guides in the Corning area, but we have some folks showing up with high expectations and we don't want to mislead anyone about the current fishing conditions.  All this could change in a day though, its that time of the year.  My group decided not to show up today, but Captain Justin's crew showed up for a second day of fishing and scored two beautiful Kings.  Every day is a new day and we're all still excited about what this years salmon season will bring in the next several days.  Thank you all for your continued support!
