Most anglers are trolling the Rogue Bay with some early success on Chinook. This time a year, anglers are picking up a mix of late spring chinook and early fall chinook. Most of the fish are being picked up downstream of Hwy 101.
A few early run summer steelhead have been picked up, but the river is dropping and warming up, which has turned off the bite. Steelhead anglers may want to wait for a weather change to improve conditions. Folks have even reported hooking into a few decent size surf perch in the estuary.
