Folsom Lake Fish Report
Folsom Lake - Folsom Lake, CA
3-28-2007
Bass were continuing to move up into newly flooded areas preparing to spawn, or hanging out off structure in deeper water with easy access to the shallows. All three species were being caught--spots, smallmouths and largemouths. Reaction baits were catching some fish, but 4-inch Senkos and Robo-Worms were more effective. Minnows were most effective, yet. Trollers fishing for landlocked salmon and trout were but having some success, with some days better than others. Excels, Apexes, and Needlefish were scoring some fish, but slow-rolled anchovies seemed to be doing best, at least for the salmon. Fish 30 to 40 feet deep from the dam to Folsom Point.
