The Trask still has steelhead throughout the fishery, although most are wild (catch-and-release only). The Trask is predicted to go back up over 10 feet late this week and it will probably be on the high side (and possibly off color) through the weekend. All wild steelhead must be released unharmed. Avoiding long fights and handling will reduce stress on released fish.
North and South Forks of the Trask close to steelhead fishing on April 1 to protect spawning wild steelhead and out-migrating juveniles.
Cutthroat trout fishing in streams will reopen May 22, 2023.
Trask river levels and predictions are available here.
