Jakes Creek Reservoir is fishing good for rainbow trout, including carry over fish reaching up to 17 inches and recently stocked fish in the 9-10 inch range.  Some channel catfish have been being caught along the road-side of the reservoir.  Largemouth bass up to 13 inches have also been reported in good numbers.  Aquatic weeds are beginning to increase and as the summer progresses this will make angling from the shore more difficult.
