With summer here Hat is fishing well on the bookends, mid day can be quite slow. Mostly the fish in the flats are eating midges and some PMDs, and in the riffle there are some Yellow Sallies and Grannom Caddis happening here and there. The downstream sections are beginning to see more Caddis coming off and the Golden Stone hatch is about done. However, this is a great time to throw a Golden dry pattern as these fish know what that means. Dry-dropper using an appropriate Chubby Chernobyl is a great way to entice the wild Rainbows on the lower sections of Hat.
