The Crooked river seems to have slowed down slightly. We are still catching fish but they are a bit tougher to come by than they were 1-2 weeks ago. Nymphing has been best for us with PMD jigs, firestarter jigs, scuds, leeches, and zebra midges. Whitefish are going to begin their spawn soon and eggs will be important. As always small streamers are fun swung and stripped on the crooked. With the river at about 100 CFS remember that it is not too deep in many places and sometimes having those nymphs only a couple feet below your indicator is a good idea to avoid constant hangups.
